Thanks Florin. Learning to love everything about your life can be pretty challenging sometimes. It helps to take a step back and get some perspective.

Hey Ken: Thanks for stopping by my blog. I actually used to keep a "gratitude journal." Every day before I'd go to bed, I would write an entire page about all the stuff I was thankful for that day. It was kind of fun to flip back through that thing from time to time. Things like, "I'm grateful that the waitress had a nice ass" would make me laugh!

Eric: Yeah this year has been pretty intense for me. I'd say the hardest part was getting comfortable with leaving an industry that I have a masters degree in. Sort of a "high perceived exit barrier," but like most other things, it's all in your head.

Expressing gratitude is definitely great and even has solid benefits. A study by Emmons and McCullough (2003) found that there are many positive correlations (psychological, physical and more) so thank on!

Nothing cheesy about being thankful and sharing it with us. Sounds like you've had quite a year. Passive income sure is a lot of work, huh. I wish you luck, I'm continuing to follow your blog and reading of your experiences.
