@ Andy, Hey, glad to meet a fellow 4HWW fan. If you are trying to get started making a muse, you can really do one of two different things. The first is to make your own product, and the second is to sell other people's products as an affiliate. I'm doing affiliate marketing right now because it gives me a good foundation on web design and promotion without the hassle of creating a product on top of that. If you create your own product, you still have to do all the web design and promotion too, which is a lot to bite off when you're first getting off the ground.

Pretty much everything I know about affiliate marketing, I've learned at Affilorama.com. They have good lessons that you can watch for free, plus they also have a discussion forum where you can ask questions and get some help. If you can afford it, I'd recommend their AffiloBlueprint product, which is a step-by-step course that lays everything out for you, but you'll surely get a lot of good stuff from the free content too.

There are other ways to make money online too. You can go to WarriorForum.com to learn more about these. Be careful though. On this site, they talk about pretty much everything from affiliate marketing to adsense to product creation to bum marketing and everything in between. It is really easy to get overwhelmed and run around in circles.

But if you just want to get a good understanding of promotion or linkbuilding or something like that, you can also look at ThirtyDayChallenge.com. This is a free site that tries to teach you the basics of getting a simple niche blog up and running in one month. It's a great resource.

Other than that, I would recommend that you move your website (the one that you left in your comment) to your own domain name. As long as you stay on Blogspot, it's like you're renting property from Google, and all it takes is a few twitches from them to wreck your whole blog. Buy a domain of your own and it's like owning your own land. You can do whatever you want on it without having to worry about getting banned or kicked off because of some new Google policy.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
I am a reader that envies the lifestyle displayed in Tim's book, I am just coming to the realization that I can potentially start generating some extra income from blogging and creating websites. The only problem is, I have no Idea where to start. As of right now my knowledge of web design is pretty limited, which doesnt concern me as much (outsourcing). I am more just trying to wrap my head around how money actually gets made this way, if you know of any resources aside from your site than can help me get started they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Keep plugging away man it's the only way.

I've been having similar results although I'm only working on one website.

You'll have a better day tomorrow. Then one day it will all come together.

You're sales are not flukes. They're just not very regular, that's all. Mine are the same. A few here and there. It's just the start though.

Every worthwhile journey starts with one step.
