Hi Clayton,

I’m glad to see your progress. I too am starting in affiliate marketing and am a little lost and looking at your posts give me more confident and encouragement to keep going.

I think my problem is that I have too much info on affiliate marketing from affilorama to many others……I need to consolidate and focus on just one or two methods and building sites up instead of going around in circle.

@Slavenska, thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m glad my modest success has helped inspire you. It makes me feel like I’m giving back in some way. When I was getting started some of the earlier posts on the “success story” thread by Steven Parker and “Jem008″ really kept me going. In fact, I’m a little embarrassed to write this, but I actually took one of Jem008’s clickbank screen shots and changed the dates in Photoshop to be the end of this year. I printed it out and looked at it almost every day trying imagine that that would be my clickbank sales report by year end. It looks like I probably won’t be getting results like that by the end of the year, but I’m proud of the small success I’ve had so far.

@emusic review, thanks for commenting on my blog. Good luck on starting your affiliate marketing journey. If I had one bit of advice, it’s that niche selection is absolutely critical. In the early days it’s easy to get down on yourself when results don’t show, so make things easy on yourself and pick a good niche. Make a site for people with real problems that stay up at night and lose sleep worrying about things. Your conversions will be a lot better and you won’t have to work as hard.

Sorry, I might change my mind later, but for the time being, I’m not disclosing any of my affiliate websites on this blog. They are basically straight and simple Affilorama sites though.

@Abu, thanks for stopping by my blog. Yeah, there are plenty of times when I’ve just wanted to give up. Fortunately I have at least one person that believed in me every step of the way (my girlfriend), which is more than I can say for even my mom or my best friend.

Also, I’m kind of stranded right now. Even if I wanted to, there are no jobs in my profession these days, and my masters degree makes me the equivalent of “over educated” toxic waste to most employers.

I’m follwing your success from the Affilorama forum and I have to say that your posts on your AffiloBlueprint success keeps me motivated to continue building my own website.

Have you tried the Magic Article Rewriter and Submitter software? Following your journey, looks like it’s something that would make your life easier? I’m about to buy it, but not sure if it’s really as good as it looks like.

Anyway, keep up the good work. It’s really inspiring!
