The more searches the more people will search deeper and get to your site (even if it's on page 2). It takes longer, but once Yahoo and Bing pick up your website, I've noticed that it's easier to rank on the first page for a lot of terms. My marketing consists primarily of doing article marketing and submitting articles to blog networks. I do article marketing, but it is primarily for backlinks and not for traffic. Most traffic comes from search engines. Honestly, I have not had much luck with opt-in boxes and e-mail marketing yet. It varies from website to website, but the average is something like 30-40% CTR. I think a lot of it also depends on the niche too. I haven't noticed a pattern with order form impression count. Generally, if you get a spike in order form impression counts, it seems that someone is on the fence about buying the product and the keep coming back to order form working up the "courage" to buy. Overall conversation rates of hop clicks to sales depends a lot on the niche. I have a "get your ex back" website that has been converting like crazy and significantly out-performing my other sites. Something around 1 in 30 or 1 in 40 hops per order.
